Though many Darksiders still had tired legs from CCCs, last weekend the team went down to Wilmington for Fall Easterns. Saturday saw Darkside go 3-1, with a loss to Cincinnati, but the day culminated with a solid win against NC State, with many rookies getting on the field and making plays. On Sunday, Darkside returned with a focus, defeating George Mason and USC, before taking down Wilmington comfortably in the semis. The final saw a rematch between Darkside and Cincinnati, and Darkside entered the game determined to rectify the pool play loss. From the get-go, Darkside played with a fire on D and a sense of deadly focus on O that Cincinnati couldn’t match. The final ended 14-3 in favor of Darkside, with the game seeing a Callahan from JD Hastings and multiple breaks from all-rookie lines, ultimately leading to Cinci’s opting to end the game a point earlier than planned. With this year’s Feasterns win, Darkside secured its 4th consecutive Fall Easterns win.

This weekend, Darkside has 4 players – Ben Snell, Jimmy Zuraw, Tim McAllister, and Jonathan Nethercutt – heading to Orlando to try out for the U-23 National Team. Though lacking intelligence, with their physical capabilities that border on athleticism and their passable disc skills, they should be able to make a splash. Good luck boys! #soproud

Lastly, keep a look out for our final roster, which should be added, along with pictures, very soon!
